The APT Repository

All software installation and most system configuration is accomplished through APT. There are two branches of the APT repository, the public and the private. The public fork contains the Fedora Core and base CLUE packages. The private fork contains meta-configuration packages and licensed software. The private fork is password protected.

The private software is kept on a password-protected apt repository to prevent unauthorized access. Adding new software to the tree requires a strict submission process (which we have yet to decide) to keep the tree stable. Basically for now its "ask a full-time clueadmin first"
